Executive Vice President of Medical Construction
Davie Construction Co.
We’ve spent the past four months preparing for it, and now we’re in the thick of things. All the preplanning is over, and your dream is becoming a reality. While the type of construction depends on the location of the building and the local building and zoning departments, the process is similar for all.
We start by framing the building, including interior and exterior walls and the roof. Once these are dried in, we focus on roughing in the Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical systems, along with any specialty items needed for the installation of medical equipment. Upon completion of this step, the drywall or finished material will go up after any type of wind shear protection, (hurricane straps, etc.) that is needed, is installed.
Priming and painting with the owner-approved colors follow, along with installing acoustic ceiling tiles and grids. We secure the casework and exam/treatment tables before the final coats of paint are applied. Flooring installation and hanging of doors and hardware come next.
As we approach completion, we will work with you to facilitate any required board certifications or health department inspections. While construction is done at this point, our work continues. We help our owners and their teams with move-in and setup, installing equipment, tables, lights, etc., for a smooth and efficient transition.
While the building becomes yours upon completion, our commitment to you is unwavering. We diligently follow up throughout the next year to honor warranty agreements. Our team is always available to provide advice, service, and hands-on support. When you choose Davie Construction to build your practice, you become a part of our family, and we are dedicated to your ongoing satisfaction and success.
