Reflecting on a Year of Building With Purpose

As 2025 draws to an end, I look back on twelve months defined by the development and implementation of dynamic strategies that have supported the healthy growth of our company, the professional enrichment of our exceptional team’s careers, and our ongoing success in the years ahead. Each of you has played a pivotal role in sharing feedback, improving communications with each other, our subcontractors and suppliers, and most significantly, our clients.

Our Management Team of visionary leaders has been the engine for the reorganization and strengthening of our resources across the company. Their ingenuity has strengthened and made each department more self-reliant while continuing to contribute their specific skills and experience to the collaborative spirit that drives our success and allows us to focus on our values of family and faith as the size and scope of our projects continue to increase.

The promotion of Jamie Bowles to a new position on the Management Team, Executive Vice President of Multifamily Construction, acknowledged his strong decision-making and steady leadership, as well as his extensive experience with multifamily residential projects, keeping them on track and on budget. Jamie is a perfect example of career advancement within our company, having previously served as Vice President of Project Management, Project Manager, Superintendent, Field Engineer, and Estimator.

Our growth in the multifamily residence sector has been significant, with our largest project to date commencing in 2026. We are pleased to continue to partner with our private and public clients to build affordable housing to help meet this critical national demand.

Ben Tuck, formerly Executive Vice President of Facilities Services, was named Executive Vice President of Financial Construction, leading all bank and credit union projects. He has diligently served our wide range of financial institution clients for the past several years. We already have several new projects on schedule for this sector in 2026.

Completing this strategic management reorganization was the promotion of each of our former Project Manager Assistants to Project Management Accountants with the added responsibilities of handling all administrative and accounting functions for their assigned projects.
Healthcare remains a significant segment of our project list. Hospice of Davidson County, Verdigris Animal Hospital, Triad Adult Pediatric Clinic, High Point University Workman School of Dental Medicine, and HPU Health Plaza-Dental, Novant Premier Dermatology, Rivers Family and Cosmetic Dentistry, and several animal hospitals are among the varied projects completed by Frank Chapman and his team.

Like most businesses, we measure success by our bottom line, because it ensures we can continue to attract the best people and provide them with the most advanced tools and systems. However, our yardstick for a banner year includes the good that we accomplish within our communities. Since Carl started Davie (2026 is our 34th Anniversary!), giving back has been a priority, as we are reminded in Luke 12:48, “From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.”

I am so proud of all the service, donations of time and funds, and demonstrations of kindness, compassion, and selflessness by our team. Causes and nonprofit organizations who have benefited include Toys for Tots, Daily Bread Food Bank, Clemmons Rotary, Truliant Foundation, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Light the Night fighting Blood Cancer, Davie County Classic Extreme Rodeo, Habitat for Humanity, Davie County Concert in the Park, Bright Beginnings at Davie YMCA, 2025 Salem City FC Soccer Clinic, AIA Winston-Salem Girls Lego Day, Yadkin County School Career Fair, Kernersville Little League, N. Davie Middle School Amazing Shake, Helping People Eat, Dragonfly House, eight golf tournaments for a variety charities, and too many more to mention. I also honor you for the time you spend supporting your children’s schools, sports teams, and clubs, as well as your churches, civic organizations, and personal community involvement. This high level of service is both the legacy and the future of the Davie family.

My favorite times of the year are those occasions when we celebrate together, build relationships, acknowledge hard work, and help each other do our jobs better. From our annual fishing trip honoring our late friend Tony Nichols, to ladies’ days out, annual meetings, family events, and Breakfast with Santa, the opportunities to spend time with you and hear your thoughts, while enjoying the blessing we share, are among the most valuable moments of our year.

Our 2026 project schedule indicates we will have another very busy year. One way to lighten the load for everyone is to attract more good people to our team. The Management Team has made team development a priority. To achieve our staffing goals, we need everyone’s help. Please share your support by helping us recruit hardworking team members whose contributions will be mutually beneficial to our growth. There are many positions open, including project management and supervision, with financial rewards for helping us secure the right candidates. Tell your friends and family members that we welcome their interest in joining Davie Construction. We are happy to provide training and education to those choosing to change their careers in industries that are laying off to a rapidly growing industry, with a company that aggressively promotes from within.

Thank you for your commitment, hard work, and daily demonstration of the values that compel our clients’ loyalty at an incomparable level, allowing us to consistently enhance the working experiences of all who support our growth.

Happy New Year, in appreciation and gratitude
