Davie Construction Company recognizes the importance of utilizing minority and women-owned businesses. Davie has built established relationships with local MWBE/HUB firms and strives to support these firms so they can continue to grow and become staples in the local construction market.
Our Policy
It is Davie Construction Company’s policy that minority, women-owned, and disadvantaged firms will have the maximum opportunity to contribute to Davie Construction Company’s projects and we will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, nationality, or gender.

Davie Construction Company actively works to achieve maximum MWBE/HUB participation on both our public and private projects. We will put forth an honest effort to achieve the maximum amount of MWBE/HUB participation for this project.
Our Efforts
Davie Construction Company will employ various means of advertising in order to reach MWBE/HUB firms. Options include, but aren’t limited to, the State of North Carolina’s MWBE/HUB Office, local publications, and social media. Davie Construction Company will also provide financial assistance by arranging a quick pay agreement with MWBE/HUB firms, when possible, by working with material suppliers to ensure a swift payment.
Becoming a Davie Subcontractor
Davie Construction Co. is committed to creating project opportunities, and supporting the growth of minority and woman-owned firms in the communities we serve. We form long-term business relationships with WMBE/HUB businesses. We help them strengthen their business experience and capabilities. Davie Construction Co. has successfully developed and implemented WMBE/HUB plans that exceeded targeted levels of participation by minority and woman-owned firms. Key elements of our approach include:
- Outreach to capable WMBE/HUB’s through telephone campaigns and advertising construction projects.
- Training and assisting firms to complete our subcontractor/supplier pre-qualification process.
- Tracking and assisting targeted HUB firms through the bidding process to maximize their likelihood of success.

Complete the form and it will be sent to Davie Construction Company staff for review. Where to go to become North Carolina MWBE/HUB Certified
In order to be officially listed a MWBE/HUB certified subcontractor, you must first apply through the North Carolina Department of Registration. The link below with take you to the website where can apply to become certified with your Statewide Uniform Certification (SWUC) or North Carolina Small Business Enterprise Certification (NCSBE).
